Hello and welcome to my blog, today I would like to share with you a card I have made using the Crafters Companion Interchangeable sentiment dies Ornate swirls, I have created this card for my design team inspiration. Here are the details:
Interchangeable Sentiment Dies - Ornate SwirlsMake every occasion special with a beautiful and personalised card from the Gemini Interchangeable Sentiment Dies collection! These dies have been designed to provide a gorgeous and delicate background, along with three sentiments that you can switch out according to the occasion.
The Ornate Swirls set includes five dies to create a background frame flowing with a delicate filigree design and with space for a trio of sweet sentiments. Each features a different message, ‘Birthday Wishes’, ‘Get Well Wishes’ and ‘Sending Wishes’ - so you can create several cards with this theme.
Simply select your sentiment, place it inside the outer frame, create your plate combination, run through your die-cutting machine, and voila! A decorative frame with a die-cut sentiment inside.
To change the sentiment, just swap it out for another and secure in place with low tack tape!
Sized to fit perfectly on your card bases these dies can be used to create a focal sentiment or as an additional topper for your larger makes. Why not explore the whole range to see the full variety of sentiments available, from Happy Birthday to Get Well Soon, whatever message you want to send, we’ve got you covered!
And here is one of the cards I have created using this beautiful die, all details and products used are below:
- To make this card I have started with an 8''x10'' card base, I have scored in half and folded back the panel to make a 'Z Fold card'
- For the matts and layers I have created a light pink panel measuring 7.75x9.75 and a patterned paper layer measuring 7.5''x9.5'' to sit inside the card, for the front I have created the same layers the light pink measuring 4.75''x7.75'' and the patterned layer 4.5''x7.5'' before adhering these to the base card using wet glue, I have wrapped a piece of lace around the centre of the card and secured to the back.
- Next I have torn two pieces of vellum one to sit on the inside of the card and one for the outside, I've attached this in the middle with dries clear glue, knowing my sentiments will cover them.
- For the inside sentiment I have stamped the words feel better soon onto vellum in pink pigment ink the heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I have die cut this with an scalloped oval nesting die, then created some pink matts and layers for it to sit on. I have attached these to the inside of my card using foam pads.
- For the interchangeable sentiment die I have chosen get well wishes, I have cut this out of white card stock, I have then cut the decorative layer out of light pink card stock and the backing layer from another pink card stock, I have layer these and attached to the card using foam pads.
- To finish this card off I have added a small bow and some pink pearls.
