Clearly besotted - make a splash

Hello and welcome to my blog, today I would like to share with you a really fun card, featuring stamps and stencils from Clearly besotted stamps I found this shop through a wonderful crafty friend, Claire you can check out her blog here Mrs H crafty corner
You can create all sorts of scenes with these stamps and stencils and get really creative with them.
Please see all instructions and products used below:

  • To start with I have used a 6x8 1/2" white base card, I have used dries clear glue to go around the edge of my card and added some yellow glitter.
  • Next I have used a polka dot stencil on some cornflower blue card and taped it down onto my glass mat and spread over some cosmic shimmer texture paste through the stencil with a pallet knife. I removed the stencil whilst it was still wet and added some blue, yellow, pink and purple glitter and left to one side to dry.
  • For the main image I have use one of the stencils - you've been framed and inked through the stencil onto a white layer of card using a canary yellow ink pad and blending tool. I then created some clouds and grassy hills in the background. I've used the stamp set to add the little hippo with his umbrella the puddle, the duck and the raindrops - all from the same set. I've coloured the images using a combination of pro markers and chameleon colour tone pens (see products used for colours) I have then matted this layer onto a holographic mirror card.
  • I have also created a white embossed layer to sit behind the main image, using my embossing folder and running it through my die cutting machine.
  • I came back to my polka dot background once dry and added all the layers together and tied some ribbon around the middle and created a bow, and glued them directly onto the base card using wet glue. I added a sentiment from the stamp set using a tag die cut.
  • to add some finishing touches the the card I've added some ranger glossy accents to the raindrops, puddle and wellington boots and used my glitter shimmer pen over the top of the umbrella, then added some sequins to the background to complete the card.
